We’re back with another movie review! This time it’s for the Walter Mercado movie, Mucho, Mucho Amor. I loved this film because it was about a love story that happened in Puerto Rico and how they had to deal with racism. The documentary was great and so was the storyline of all the ups and downs that Walter had to go through in his life. I think you should go see this movie if you want to watch and uncover how Walter became such a universal figure. 🙂

Walter Mercado, one of the most influential and important astrologists in Latin America and the world, mesmerized 120 million Latino viewers for decades with his extravagance. His life is a unique example of how to be successful while fully embracing your identity as someone who doesn’t conform to traditional gender roles. The film features interviews from Walter himself along with other public figures such as members of his family among many others that make him so much more than just an influencer or entertainer; he’s also a trailblazer!
The film features interviews with Mercado himself as well as some members from his family including son Jose ‘Pepe’ Salinas (also known for being a part owner at The Comedy Store), actress Olga James, model Tatiana Neves de Lima Bueno, musician Oscar D’Leon among many others.”
Every day for decades, renowned astrologist Walt Mercado — known worldwide by some as “Walter” but personally preferring queer pronouns like they/them/theirself—gave us hope through their positivity and extravagance that we were not alone.
