Here is a video review of the epic film “Fantastic Planet” by members of our Cinema Club. We hope you enjoy it!

This is no ordinary movie – it’s different than any other animated films that came before or after it; there were many aspects which make Fantastic Planet so mind-blowingly good: its story for example was complex yet well-paced with attention to detail, full of suspenseful moments but also some humourous ones too !!!

On a faraway planet where blue giants rule, oppressed humanoids rebel against their machine-like leaders. The film is set on Ygam and follows the resistance of two humanoid slaves who escape from the cruel clutches of Alpha 60, an all-powerful computer that dominates life in their world. It’s hard to put into words how much I loved watching Fantastic Planet! You should watch it too if you love animation or sci-fi movies 🙂 A must-watch for any animation fan, Fantastic Planet is a 1973 experimental adult animated science fiction film directed by René Laloux and written by Laloux and Roland Topor.

This movie is really something special, and it’s a shame that this film doesn’t get more exposure. It deserves to be seen by everyone who loves animation or sci-fi movies. If you haven’t watched Fantastic Planet yet, do yourself a favor and watch it! You won’t regret it 🙂

A must-watch for any animation fan, Fantastic Planet is a 1973 experimental adult animated science fiction film that was directed by René Laloux and written by Laloux and Roland Topor. The film was animated at Jiří Trnka Studio in Prague with the help of Czech animators Jaromir Typlt, Jiri Barta, Karel Zeman Jr., Jan Nedoma Sr., Václav Bednařík, Stanislav Látal Jr. and others.
